Course objectives:

Upon completion of this course, dentists will have learned the differences between prosthodontic materials, be able to select the best material for a given patient and be familiar with the tooth preparation required for that choice of material. They will also learn when to change materials or change preparation design when dealing with failure.

Simon Parsons is a general dentist with over 25 years of clinical experience. He has practised in and managed large dental practices in NSW in various roles including senior dentist, clinical director and national dental director. He currently practises dentistry part time in the Sydney CBD, presents medico-legal workshops and acts as a clinical and technical support consultant for Southern Cross Dental.

Brenda graduated in 1979 from Sydney University with second class honours. Brenda accepted a two-year secondment with a leading prosthodontist in Sydney as well as taking up teaching duties at Sydney University in the Prosthetics Department. Brenda then moved to London and in 1982 graduated from the Eastman Dental Hospital, University of London with a Master of Science in Restorative Dentistry.  She returned to Australia and went into private practice where she still currently works. Over the last six years, Brenda has been part of Southern Cross Dental as a clinical and technical support consultant.
